Lagos State Government Ministry of Physical Planning & Urban Development held its annual World Habitat Day on Monday 4th October, 2021 at Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja. The event had theme “Accelerating Urban Action for a Carbon-Free World”.
Present were the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Folashade S Jaji who represented the Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu; Honourable Commissioner, Physical Planning & Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako; Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goals, Mrs. Solape Hammond amongst others.
Dr. Salako in his welcome address said this year’s theme is in furtherance of the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 13: “Climate Change”. In this regard, Lagos State has continued to blaze the trail in innovative approaches to a carbon-free society. Thereafter he highlighted some of the achievements of Mr Governor in this regard and urged all to support the call for an accelerated climate action for a carbon-free Lagos
In the Governor’s keynote address, he highlighted the importance of a carbon-free society and how it will attract investors for the benefit of the Lagosians.
He finally enjoined everyone to embrace and make a collective effort to ensure that Lagos retains its status as a mega city and an business hub to the international community
The Managing Director/ CEO LSDPC, Arc. Dhikrullah Har-Yusuph was presented an award on behalf of LSDPC for our support and contributions
LSDPC alongside other agencies were at the event to showcase their products and services. Prospective clients and dignitaries visited the LSDPC Exhibition Booth to enquire about properties.
