In collaboration with its agencies, the Lagos State Government Ministry of Physical Planning & Urban Development held an interactive stakeholders meeting yesterday Wednesday 8th June 2022 at the Landmark Event Center, Oniru, Lagos. The event had the theme “Benefit of Voluntary Service”.

In attendance, was the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Folashade S Jaji who represented the Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Physical Planning & Urban Development, Engr. (Mrs) Abiola Kosegbe; Special Adviser to the Governor on e-GIS and Physical Planning, Dr. Olajide Babatunde, amongst others.

In the Governor’s keynote address, he highlighted the importance of this awareness and sensitization of the physical planning master plan, urging stakeholders to apply voluntarily and get all required permits to avoid unnecessary loss of life and property. He reiterated the need to protect our land and master plan 

TPL. Kehinde Osinaike, General Manager of LASPPPA in his welcome address stated that the theme benefit of voluntary compliance is part of their awareness and sensitization to the public on the need to apply for a permit and follow due process before starting to erect, renovate or demolish a structure instead of waiting till the agencies come to apply sanctions on the site for defaulting.

He announced that as part of LASPPPA’s efforts to make the process seamless the agency has increased its zonal offices from 35 to 41, launched an online portal that can be accessed via web or app, and reduced the application days from 28 days to 10 days

LSDPC’s Executive Director of Enterprise Services, Prince Adeniyi Aromolaran who represented the MD/CEO of LSDPC, Hon Ayodeji Joseph congratulated LASPPPA on the event and assured LASPPPA that LSDPC will continue to work with and seek guidance from all sister agencies on our path to being the Real Estate provider of choice in Africa

Other dignitaries at the event included the Oniru of Iru Kingdom, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal; General Manager Lagos State Urban Renewal Authority (LASURA), Alhaja Jibike Shomade; General Manager, Lagos State, New Towns Development Authority (NTDA) Tpl. Olakunle John Aboyeji; Permanent Secretary and Surveyor-General of Lagos State, Olutomi Sangowawa; Executive Chairman, Lagos Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Hamzat Ayodele Subair; amongst others LSDPC alongside other agencies were at the event to showcase their products and services.
