Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu commissioned one of LSDPC latest estates, Bayview Estate, Ikate-Lekki, a joint-venture project with MISA Limited, today October 13, 2021 in line with the THEMES agenda of his administration.
In his remarks, Mr. Governor acknowledged the synergy between LSDPC, MISA ltd and the Elegushi of Ikate Land which has birthed this project despite the challenges that ravaged the economy last year. He assured Lagosians that he will provide housing for all class of community including the Elite and Low income earners in Lagos. He stated that in the coming months the Ibeshe Housing Scheme, Agbowa Housing Scheme and Sangotedo housing scheme will be commissioned and available for Lagosians. He also charged all the state’s agencies involved in public housing to make housing affordable and available with quality infrastructure as this remains part of his promise to make Lagos a 21st century economy.
In his address , the Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai announced that Bayview Estate is the 11th housing project to be commissioned by Mr. Governor in the last three years with several others at different stages of completion. He assured Lagosians that this administration will spare no effort to ensure that no housing scheme will be left uncompleted.
The Managing Director MISA Limited, Mr. Muritala Ibrahim gave a brief summary of Bayview Estate, Ikate-Lekki, after which he thanked the Governor for his belief in the project during his tenure as MD/CEO, LSDPC as well as the present Management Team for their effort in making the project a success.
The occasion had in attendance the Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Gboyega Soyannwo; Special Adviser for Housing, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka; Permanent Secretary, State Ministry of Housing, Mr. Wasiu Akewusola; Chairman, House committee on Housing Hon Rasheed Makinde; His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa, Oba Saheed Elegushi of Ikate Land; Oniru of Ireland, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal; General Manager Lagos State Urban Renewal Authority (LASURA), Alhaja Jibike Shomade amongst others.
